    5. How to choose a Star Citizen org

    Guide

How to choose a Star Citizen org

Pick an org for culture and fit first: age policy, time zones, how they run ops, and whether niche play (SIGs) exists. Then confirm the apply path is clear and drama policies are enforced.

    What to look for

    • ›18+ or all-ages — and whether that is enforced
    • ›Time zones and when people actually fly
    • ›Milsim vs casual vs mixed structure
    • ›Size: mega-roster vs mid-size where names stick
    • ›Industry, combat, medical, racing — dedicated crews or everything in one channel
    • ›How applications work (Discord ticket, form, trial)

    Tradeoffs

    01

    Mega-orgs

Always someone online, but easy to feel like a number. Leadership layers can be slow.

    02

    Tiny crews

Strong bonds, limited schedule coverage and fewer specialized roles filled.

    03

    Mid-size with SIGs

Shared banner plus focused crews — more coordination than a club, less anonymity than a mega-org.
